The shoe I wish I'd bought...

I recently got the Velcro version of the Scarpa Veloce and like everything about them but the VELCRO! The straps are too long and come loose when the Velcro catches on the mat. I can vouch that the Veloce is a fantastic option for a second/intermediate/all day shoe. The rubber is super tacky and the fit is comfortable thanks to the square toe box. I really like the rubber patch for toe hooks and that the shoes can be resoled. I should imagine the lace version provides great adjustability, too. Everyone in the V1 shop are brilliantly patient and knowledgeable.
